100 Proof Aged in Soul was an American soul and R&B group formed in Detroit, Michigan in the late 1960s. The group was originally known as Hot Sauce before changing their name to 100 Proof (Aged in Soul) in 1969. The group's lineup included lead vocalist Joe Stubbs, brother of Four Tops lead singer Levi Stubbs, as well as Steve Mancha, Eddie Holiday, and Steve Mancha.
In 1971, 100 Proof Aged in Soul achieved commercial success with their hit single "Somebody's Been Sleeping in My Bed," which reached number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group released several albums throughout the 1970s, blending soul, funk, and disco influences. While they did not achieve the same level of success as some of their contemporaries, 100 Proof Aged in Soul remains a notable and respected group in the history of soul music.
