Artist Bio:
100 Proof Aged in Soul was a Detroit-based R&B group formed in the late 1960s. The group was originally called Hot Wax and later changed their name to 100 Proof (Aged in Soul) due to legal reasons. They were signed to the Hot Wax label, which was founded by the legendary songwriting and producing team Holland-Dozier-Holland after they left Motown Records. The group had a string of successful singles in the early 1970s, including "Somebody's Been Sleeping," which remains one of their most popular songs. Despite undergoing several lineup changes over the years, 100 Proof Aged in Soul continued to release music and perform throughout the 1970s.
