100 Proof (Aged in Soul) was an American R&B group formed in Detroit in the late 1960s. The group was signed to the Hot Wax label, a subsidiary of Motown Records. Their biggest hit came in 1971 with the song "Somebody's Been Sleeping," which reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 6 on the R&B chart. The group's music was characterized by soulful vocals and funky rhythms that captured the essence of the era.


In addition to "Somebody's Been Sleeping," 100 Proof (Aged in Soul) had other moderate hits such as "Too Many Cooks (Spoil the Soup)" and "Everything Good Is Bad."
