Artist Bio:
10,000 Maniacs is an American alternative rock band that was formed in 1981 in Jamestown, New York. The band's original members included Robert Buck, Teri Newhouse, Dennis Drew, Steven Gustafson, and Natalie Merchant as the lead vocalist. Over the years, the band's lineup has changed multiple times, with various members joining and leaving.

The band gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits such as "These Are Days" and "Because the Night," a cover of the Patti Smith song. They are known for their folk-influenced sound and socially conscious lyrics. In 1993, Natalie Merchant left the band to pursue a solo career, and Mary Ramsey took over as the lead vocalist. Despite the lineup changes, 10,000 Maniacs has continued to release music and tour, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
