The band's original members included Natalie Merchant on vocals, John Lombardo on guitar, Robert Buck on guitar, Dennis Drew on keyboards, Steven Gustafson on bass, and Jerry Augustyniak on drums. Over the years, the band's lineup has changed, with Merchant leaving in 1993 to pursue a solo career and Mary Ramsey taking over as lead vocalist.
10,000 Maniacs gained popularity in the 1980s and 1990s with hits such as "These Are Days" and "Because the Night," which was a collaboration with Bruce Springsteen. Known for their introspective lyrics and melodic sound, the band has released several albums over the years, including "In My Tribe" and "Our Time in Eden."
