Artist Bio:
10,000 Maniacs is an American alternative rock band that was formed in 1981 in Jamestown, New York. The band's original members included vocalist Natalie Merchant, guitarist John Lombardo, keyboardist Dennis Drew, bassist Steve Gustafson, and drummer Robert Buck. Over the years, the band has seen several lineup changes with Merchant departing in 1993 to pursue a solo career.

10,000 Maniacs gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits such as "Like the Weather," "What's the Matter Here?" and a cover of "Because the Night." Their music is characterized by introspective lyrics, melodic pop-rock sound, and folk influences. The band has released several albums, including "In My Tribe" and "Our Time in Eden," which received critical acclaim. Despite the changes in the lineup, 10,000 Maniacs continues to tour and release new music, with their most recent album "Twice Told Tales" being released in 2015.
