38 Special gained popularity in the 1980s with hits like "Hold on Loosely," "Caught Up in You," and "If I'd Been the One." The band's music is often categorized as Southern rock or arena rock, and they have released over a dozen studio albums throughout their career. Despite various lineup changes and breaks in recording, 38 Special has maintained a loyal fan base and continues to tour and perform live.
