Artist Bio:
A Taste of Honey was an American R&B and disco group formed in Los Angeles in 1971. The group was composed of Janice Marie Johnson (vocals, bass), Hazel Payne (vocals, guitar), Perry Kibble (keyboards), and Donald Ray Johnson (drums). They rose to fame in the late 1970s with their hit single "Boogie Oogie Oogie," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. The song also won the group a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1979.

A Taste of Honey released several albums throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, blending elements of R&B, disco, and funk in their music. They continued to have moderate success with songs like "Sukiyaki" and "Rescue Me" before disbanding in the mid-1980s. A Taste of Honey's music remains popular among fans of disco and R&B, and their hit "Boogie Oogie Oogie" is considered a classic of the genre.
