ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The band's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names. ABBA became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. They are known for their catchy melodies, harmonies, and flamboyant costumes.


ABBA's music is characterized by catchy hooks, harmonies, and layered arrangements, which helped them achieve international success.
