The band's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Martin Fry, guitarist and keyboardist Mark White, drummer David Palmer, and bassist Stephen Singleton. They achieved mainstream success with their debut album, "The Lexicon of Love," released in 1982, which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.

The band's biggest hits include "The Look of Love," "Poison Arrow," and "When Smokey Sings." Over the years, ABC has released several albums and singles, with varying degrees of commercial success.
