Ace Cannon was an American tenor and alto saxophonist known for his signature smooth and soulful sound. He was born in Grenada, Mississippi, on May 5, 1934, and began playing the saxophone at a young age. Cannon gained fame in the 1960s for his instrumental hits, including "Tuff" and "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," which showcased his unique blend of R&B, rock, and country music.


Cannon released numerous albums throughout his career and was a regular performer on the Grand Ole Opry. He also toured extensively, entertaining audiences with his dynamic saxophone performances. Ace Cannon's music continues to be celebrated for its timeless quality and his influence on the genre of instrumental music. Cannon passed away on December 6, 2018, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of music.
