After 7 is an American R&B group that was formed in 1987 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The group consists of three members: Kevon Edmonds, Melvin Edmonds, and Keith Mitchell. They gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hits such as "Ready or Not" and "Can't Stop." After 7's music is known for its smooth harmonies, soulful vocals, and romantic lyrics, which are characteristic of the New Jack Swing genre.

After 7 released three albums in the 1990s: "After 7" (1989), "Takin' My Time" (1992), and "Reflections" (1995). The group went on hiatus in the late 1990s but reunited in 2016 with Kevon and Keith continuing as members following the passing of Melvin in 2019. After 7 continues to perform and create music, staying true to their signature R&B sound.
