After The Fire is a British rock band that formed in 1974 in London. The band is best known for their hit single "Der Kommissar," which was released in 1982 and reached the top 5 in several countries including the UK, US, and Germany. After The Fire's music is a blend of new wave, pop, and rock, and they were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

After The Fire released several albums throughout their career, including "Signs of Change" in 1978, "80-f" in 1980, and "Der Kommissar" in 1982. The band disbanded in the late 1980s but reunited in the 2000s for occasional performances. Despite their relatively short-lived success, After The Fire remains a notable band in the new wave and rock music scene of the 1980s.
