Al Wilson was an American soul singer and songwriter, born on June 19, 1939, in Meridian, Mississippi. He is best known for his hit song "Show and Tell," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1974. Wilson began his music career in the 1960s as a member of the R&B vocal group The Jewels before pursuing a solo career.


Throughout his career, Al Wilson released several successful albums and singles, including "The Snake," "La La Peace Song," and "I've Got a Feeling (We'll Be Seeing Each Other Again)." He was known for his soulful voice and emotional delivery in his music. Wilson continued to perform and record music until his death on April 21, 2008, in Fontana, California.
