Artist Bio:
Alabama is an American country music band formed in Fort Payne, Alabama in 1969. The band's original members were Randy Owen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Teddy Gentry (bass, backing vocals), and Jeff Cook (lead guitar, fiddle, keyboards, backing vocals). Mark Herndon joined as the band's drummer in 1979. Alabama achieved major success in the 1980s and 1990s with hits such as "Mountain Music," "Dixieland Delight," and "Song of the South."


Alabama has released over 30 albums, with more than 75 million records sold worldwide. They have won numerous awards, including multiple Grammys and Country Music Association Awards. The band was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Alabama is known for their harmonies, traditional country sound, and energetic live performances, making them one of the most successful and influential country acts of all time.
