He is best known for his hit single "Undercover Angel," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1977. O'Day also had success as a songwriter, penning songs for artists such as The Righteous Brothers, Helen Reddy, and the 5th Dimension.
In addition to his music career, O'Day was also an actor, appearing in television shows such as "CHiPs" and "Finder of Lost Loves." He continued to write and perform music throughout his career, releasing several albums and singles. Alan O'Day passed away on May 17, 2013, at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy of memorable songs and contributions to the music industry.
