Ali Thomson is a Scottish singer-songwriter who was born on April 19, 1959. He is best known for his hit single "Take a Little Rhythm," which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1980. The song was included in his self-titled debut album, which was released the same year.


Thomson also collaborated with other artists, such as writing the song "Fool's Paradise" for the British pop duo The Thompson Twins.
