Alice Cooper, born Vincent Damon Furnier on February 4, 1948, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor known for his theatrical stage performances and shock rock style. He first rose to fame in the late 1960s as the lead singer of the band Alice Cooper, which was known for its hard rock sound and macabre lyrics. In 1975, Furnier legally changed his name to Alice Cooper and embarked on a successful solo career.


Alice Cooper's music often incorporates elements of hard rock, heavy metal, and glam rock, with hits such as "School's Out," "Poison," and "No More Mr. Nice Guy." With a career spanning over five decades, Cooper has released numerous albums, toured extensively, and received critical acclaim for his theatrical live shows. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 and continues to be a prominent figure in the rock music scene.
