Alice Cooper, born Vincent Damon Furnier on February 4, 1948, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor who is known for pioneering the shock rock genre. He first gained fame in the late 1960s as the lead singer of the band Alice Cooper. The band's theatrical live performances and dark lyrics set them apart from other rock acts of the time. In 1975, Furnier legally changed his name to Alice Cooper and embarked on a successful solo career.


Alice Cooper is known for his distinctive raspy voice, elaborate stage shows, and macabre image. Some of his most popular songs include "School's Out," "Poison," and "No More Mr. Nice Guy." Throughout his career, he has released numerous albums and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
