Artist Bio:
Alicia Bridges is an American singer, songwriter, and actress born on July 15, 1953, in Lawndale, North Carolina. She is best known for her disco hit single "I Love the Nightlife" released in 1978, which reached the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also earned her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Bridges released her self-titled debut album in 1978, which featured "I Love the Nightlife" as the lead single. Despite the success of the single, Bridges did not achieve the same level of commercial success with her subsequent releases. She continued to perform and release music throughout the 1980s and 1990s, but did not reach the same level of fame as she did with her hit single. Bridges' contribution to the disco genre with "I Love the Nightlife" remains a memorable part of music history.
