Artist Bio:
America is a folk rock band formed in London in 1970 by Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley. The band is known for their close vocal harmonies and acoustic sound, which helped them achieve commercial success in the 1970s. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1971, featured the hit single "A Horse with No Name," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

America went on to release a string of successful albums throughout the 1970s, including "Homecoming" and "Holiday." The band's music often featured themes of travel and the American landscape. Although their popularity waned in the 1980s, America continued to tour and release new music, maintaining a dedicated fan base. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2006.
