Andrew Ridgeley is an English musician and songwriter best known as one half of the pop duo Wham!, alongside George Michael. Wham! achieved worldwide success in the 1980s with hits like "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," "Careless Whisper," and "Last Christmas." Ridgeley played guitar and provided backing vocals in the duo, contributing to their energetic and catchy sound.

After Wham! disbanded in 1986, Ridgeley pursued a solo career but did not achieve the same level of success as he did with the duo. He released a solo album titled "Son of Albert" in 1990, which received mixed reviews and failed to make a significant impact on the charts.
