Andy Fraser was an English songwriter and musician, best known as the bassist and founding member of the rock band Free. Born on July 3, 1952, in London, England, Fraser began his music career at a young age, joining Free in 1968 when he was just 15 years old. He played a significant role in the band's success, co-writing many of their hit songs including "All Right Now," which became a classic rock anthem.
After Free disbanded in 1973, Fraser continued to pursue a music career, collaborating with various artists and releasing solo albums. He also played with bands such as Sharks and The Andy Fraser Band. Throughout his career, Fraser was praised for his innovative bass playing and songwriting skills. Sadly, Andy Fraser passed away on March 16, 2015, at the age of 62.
