Andy Kim, born Andrew Youakim, is a Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter. He was born on December 5, 1952, in Montreal, Quebec. Kim is best known for his hit songs "Rock Me Gently" and "Sugar, Sugar," the latter of which he co-wrote with Jeff Barry. "Sugar, Sugar" was a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1969 as a part of the fictional band The Archies.
In addition to his successful solo career, Andy Kim has collaborated with other artists such as Ron Sexsmith and Broken Social Scene. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2003 and has received numerous awards for his contributions to the music industry. Andy Kim continues to perform and create music, showcasing his talent and enduring influence in the world of pop music.
