Andy Williams was an American singer born on December 3, 1927, in Wall Lake, Iowa. He was known for his smooth and velvety voice, earning him the nickname "The King of Easy Listening." Williams began his music career in the 1940s as a member of a vocal quartet with his brothers, but he found success as a solo artist in the 1960s and 1970s.
Throughout his career, Williams released numerous hit songs, including "Moon River," "Can't Get Used to Losing You," and "Days of Wine and Roses." He also hosted his own television variety show, "The Andy Williams Show," which ran from 1962 to 1971 and won three Emmy Awards. Williams was a popular entertainer in Las Vegas and continued to perform live until his passing on September 25, 2012, in Branson, Missouri.
