Andy Williams was an American singer born on December 3, 1927, in Wall Lake, Iowa. He rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with hits like "Moon River," "Can't Get Used to Losing You," and "Music to Watch Girls By." Williams was known for his smooth voice and easy listening style, earning him the nickname "The King of Hearts." He also hosted his own television variety show, "The Andy Williams Show," from 1962 to 1971, which won three Emmy Awards.


Throughout his career, Williams sold over 100 million records worldwide and had 18 gold and three platinum albums. He was a versatile performer, singing a range of genres from pop to standards to country. Williams continued to perform and record music until his passing on September 25, 2012, in Branson, Missouri. He left behind a lasting legacy as a beloved entertainer and one of the most successful vocalists of his time.
