Artist Bio:
Anne Murray is a Canadian singer known for her soprano vocal range and country/pop music. Born on June 20, 1945 in Nova Scotia, Murray rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as "Snowbird," "You Needed Me," and "Could I Have This Dance." She has sold over 55 million albums worldwide and has won numerous awards including four Grammy Awards, 24 Juno Awards, and three American Music Awards. Murray was the first Canadian female solo artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1993.


Throughout her career, Anne Murray has released over 30 studio albums and has collaborated with various artists such as Celine Dion, Shania Twain, and Nelly Furtado. She is also known for her philanthropic work, supporting causes such as the Canadian Cancer Society and multiple sclerosis research. Anne Murray announced her retirement from full-time touring in 2008 but continues to make occasional appearances and release new music.
