Anne Murray is a Canadian singer who rose to fame in the 1970s with her pop and country hits. She was born on June 20, 1945, in Nova Scotia, Canada. Murray has won numerous awards throughout her career, including four Grammy Awards, 24 Juno Awards, and three American Music Awards. She was the first Canadian female solo artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts and has sold over 55 million records worldwide.


Murray is known for her versatile vocal range and has released a wide range of music genres, including pop, country, and adult contemporary. Some of her most popular songs include "Snowbird," "You Needed Me," and "Could I Have This Dance."
