Anne Murray is a Canadian singer born on June 20, 1945, in Nova Scotia, Canada. She is known for her soprano voice and has been a successful country and pop music artist since the 1970s. Murray has released numerous albums throughout her career, with some of her most popular songs including "Snowbird," "You Needed Me," and "Could I Have This Dance." She has received several awards, including four Grammy Awards, 24 Juno Awards, and three American Music Awards.


Murray was the first Canadian female solo artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts and has sold over 55 million records worldwide. She was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016. Anne Murray's music has had a lasting impact on the country and pop music genres, and she is considered one of Canada's most successful and beloved artists.
