Anne Murray is a Canadian singer known for her country and pop music. She was born on June 20, 1945, in Nova Scotia, Canada. Murray began her career in the 1970s and achieved international fame with her hit song "Snowbird" in 1970. She has released numerous albums throughout her career, with many of her songs reaching the top of the charts in both Canada and the United States.
Murray has won several awards for her music, including four Grammy Awards and numerous Juno Awards. She was the first Canadian female solo artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts and has sold over 55 million records worldwide. Murray was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011. She is considered one of the most successful and influential Canadian artists of all time.
