Anne Murray is a Canadian singer known for her soprano voice and country-pop style. She was born on June 20, 1945, in Nova Scotia, Canada, and began her music career in the 1960s. Murray achieved international success with her hit songs such as "Snowbird," "You Needed Me," and "Could I Have This Dance." She has won numerous awards throughout her career, including four Grammy Awards and 24 Juno Awards.


Murray became the first Canadian female solo artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts and has sold over 55 million records worldwide. She was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2002. Anne Murray's versatile singing style and timeless hits have solidified her as one of the most successful and beloved artists in the music industry.
