Artist Bio:
Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer, songwriter, and political activist, born on December 25, 1954. She first gained fame as the lead vocalist of the duo Eurythmics, known for hits such as "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "Here Comes the Rain Again." Lennox embarked on a successful solo career in the 1990s, releasing albums such as "Diva" and "Medusa." She has won numerous awards, including four Grammy Awards and an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Into the West" from "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King."


Aside from her music career, Lennox is also known for her activism on issues such as HIV/AIDS awareness, women's rights, and environmental sustainability. She co-founded the charity organization The Circle, which focuses on empowering women and girls in developing countries. Lennox has been recognized for her philanthropic work and was appointed an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in 2011 for her contributions to music and humanitarian causes.
