Artist Bio:
Apollo 100 was a British instrumental group that was active in the early 1970s. The band was a project of musician Tom Parker, who was also known for his work with The Fortunes. Apollo 100's most famous recording is their instrumental rock version of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," which was released in 1972 and became a hit in both the UK and the US. The track featured a prominent electric guitar and organ, giving it a more contemporary rock sound.

In addition to their cover of "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," Apollo 100 released a self-titled album in 1972, which featured a mix of classical adaptations and original compositions. The band's music blended classical themes with rock instrumentation, creating a unique sound that appealed to a wide audience. Despite their brief time in the spotlight, Apollo 100's music continues to be remembered and enjoyed by fans of instrumental rock music.
