April Wine is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The band's original members were Myles Goodwyn (vocals, guitar), Jim Henman (bass), David Henman (guitar), and Ritchie Henman (drums). They achieved international success in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as "You Could Have Been a Lady," "Roller," and "Just Between You and Me." April Wine is known for their energetic live performances and a sound that blends elements of hard rock, blues, and pop.
Over the years, the band experienced several lineup changes, with Myles Goodwyn being the only constant member. Despite these changes, April Wine continued to release albums and tour, maintaining a strong fan base in Canada and around the world. They have received numerous awards and accolades, including multiple Juno Awards, and were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2010.
