Aqua is a Danish-Norwegian eurodance group formed in 1989. The group consists of vocalists Lene Nystrøm and René Dif, keyboardist Søren Rasted, and guitarist Claus Norreen. Aqua achieved commercial success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their catchy pop songs and colorful music videos. Their most famous song, "Barbie Girl," released in 1997, became a worldwide hit and topped the charts in multiple countries.
In addition to "Barbie Girl," Aqua released several other popular singles such as "Doctor Jones," "Turn Back Time," and "Cartoon Heroes." They have sold over 33 million records worldwide and have received multiple awards for their music. Aqua disbanded in 2001 but reunited in 2008 and have continued to perform and release new music since then.
