Franklin was known for her powerful voice and emotive delivery, which earned her numerous accolades including 18 Grammy Awards. She was the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and was named the greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2010.
