Art Garfunkel is an American singer, poet, and actor, born on November 5, 1941, in Queens, New York. He is best known for being one half of the folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, alongside Paul Simon. The duo achieved great success in the 1960s with hits like "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," and "Bridge Over Troubled Water," earning multiple Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.


In addition to his work with Simon & Garfunkel, Art Garfunkel has released several solo albums, showcasing his distinctive countertenor voice. He has also pursued acting, appearing in films such as "Carnal Knowledge" and "Catch-22."
