He is best known for being one half of the folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, along with Paul Simon. Garfunkel's distinctive countertenor voice and harmonies contributed to the duo's success. In addition to his music career, Garfunkel has appeared in films such as "Carnal Knowledge" and "Catch-22."
