Art Garfunkel, born on November 5, 1941, is an American singer, poet, and actor best known for his partnership with Paul Simon as the duo Simon & Garfunkel. The duo rose to fame in the 1960s with hits like "The Sound of Silence," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and "Mrs. Robinson." Garfunkel's distinctive countertenor voice and harmonies were a key element of the duo's sound.


In addition to his work with Simon & Garfunkel, Art Garfunkel has released several solo albums, with his debut solo album "Angel Clare" achieving critical and commercial success. He has also pursued a career in acting, appearing in films such as "Carnal Knowledge" and "Catch-22."
