Artist Bio:
Arthur Conley was an American soul singer born on January 4, 1946, in McIntosh County, Georgia. He is best known for his 1967 hit single "Sweet Soul Music," which reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was inspired by the classic soul music of the time. Conley was discovered by Otis Redding and signed to his record label, which helped launch his music career.

Conley released several other singles and albums throughout the 1960s and 1970s, but none matched the success of "Sweet Soul Music." He continued to perform and record music until his death on November 17, 2003, at the age of 57. Despite his relatively short music career, Arthur Conley left a lasting impact on the soul music genre and is remembered for his energetic performances and soulful voice.
