Ashton, Gardner & Dyke were a British rock band formed in 1968. The band consisted of Tony Ashton (vocals, keyboards), Kim Gardner (bass, vocals), and Roy Dyke (drums). They are best known for their hit single "Resurrection Shuffle," which was released in 1971 and reached the top 3 in the UK Singles Chart. The song also became popular in the United States, where it reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In addition to their successful single, Ashton, Gardner & Dyke released several albums throughout the early 1970s, showcasing their blend of rock, blues, and soul influences. The band's music was characterized by energetic performances and strong musicianship. Despite their success, Ashton, Gardner & Dyke disbanded in 1973, with the members pursuing solo careers and other musical projects.
