Atlanta Rhythm Section (ARS) is an American southern rock band formed in Doraville, Georgia, in 1970. The band's lineup consisted of members from several other popular southern rock bands, including the Classics IV and the Candymen. The original members included Rodney Justo, Barry Bailey, Dean Daughtry, Paul Goddard, Robert Nix, and James B. Cobb Jr.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Atlanta Rhythm Section released a string of successful albums and singles, with their most well-known songs including "So Into You" and "Imaginary Lover." Their music is known for its smooth blend of country, rock, and pop influences. Despite several lineup changes over the years, Atlanta Rhythm Section continues to perform live and release new music, maintaining a dedicated fan base and solidifying their place in the history of southern rock music.
