Atlanta Rhythm Section is an American rock band formed in 1970 in Doraville, Georgia. The band's music is a blend of southern rock, country, and pop, characterized by smooth harmonies and melodic hooks. The original lineup included members from the group Classics IV and the Candymen. Notable hits by Atlanta Rhythm Section include "So Into You," "Imaginary Lover," and "Champagne Jam."
Over the years, the band has undergone several lineup changes, but they have maintained a loyal fan base and continued to perform live. Atlanta Rhythm Section released a total of 15 albums between 1972 and 1999. They are considered pioneers of the southern rock genre and have influenced many other bands in the same musical style.
