Atlanta Rhythm Section, also known as ARS, is an American southern rock band formed in Doraville, Georgia, in 1971. The band's original members included Rodney Justo, Barry Bailey, Paul Goddard, Dean Daughtry, Robert Nix, and J.R. Cobb. ARS gained popularity in the 1970s with their blend of southern rock, country, and pop music. They are best known for their hits such as "So Into You," "Champagne Jam," and "Imaginary Lover."


Throughout their career, Atlanta Rhythm Section released over a dozen albums and had several singles reach the top of the charts. The band's music has been praised for its smooth melodies, tight harmonies, and solid musicianship. Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, Atlanta Rhythm Section continues to perform live and has maintained a dedicated fan base.
