Atlanta Rhythm Section is an American southern rock band formed in Doraville, Georgia in 1971. The band's original lineup consisted of Rodney Justo (vocals), Barry Bailey (guitar), J.R. Cobb (guitar), Paul Goddard (bass), Dean Daughtry (keyboards), and Robert Nix (drums). They achieved commercial success in the 1970s with hits such as "So into You," "Imaginary Lover," and "Champagne Jam."
Atlanta Rhythm Section released a total of 15 albums between 1972 and 1999, with their music blending elements of southern rock, country, and pop. They were known for their tight musicianship, smooth harmonies, and laid-back sound. The band's lineup changed over the years, but they continued to tour and perform into the 2000s.
