The band consisted of members John Waite (vocals), Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ricky Phillips (bass), and Deen Castronovo (drums). The group released two albums, their self-titled debut in 1989 and the follow-up, "Backlash," in 1991. Bad English is best known for their hit single "When I See You Smile," which remains a classic power ballad from the late 1980s. Despite disbanding in 1991, the members of Bad English continued their musical careers with various other projects.
