Artist Bio:
Badfinger was a British rock band formed in Wales in 1969. The band's original lineup consisted of Pete Ham, Mike Gibbins, Tom Evans, and Ron Griffiths. They were signed to The Beatles' Apple Records label in the early 1970s, and achieved international fame with hits such as "Come and Get It" and "No Matter What". Badfinger's sound was characterized by their strong harmonies, catchy melodies, and guitar-driven rock sound.
Tragically, Badfinger faced financial and legal troubles related to mismanagement of their funds by their manager. This led to the suicides of both Pete Ham in 1975 and Tom Evans in 1983. Despite the band's tumultuous history, their music continues to be celebrated and their influence can be heard in the work of many modern rock bands.
