Bananarama is a British female pop music vocal group formed in London in 1981 by friends Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward. The group achieved worldwide success during the 1980s and 1990s with their catchy pop songs and unique vocal harmonies. They are known for hits such as "Cruel Summer," "Venus," and "Love In The First Degree."


Bananarama holds the Guinness World Record for the all-female group with the most chart entries in the world. They have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records worldwide. The group's original lineup disbanded in 1988, but Dallin and Woodward continued as a duo. Fahey briefly reunited with the group in 2017 for a tour before departing again. Bananarama continues to perform and release new music, maintaining a loyal fan base and influencing generations of pop music artists.
