Artist Bio:
Barbara George was an American R&B singer from New Orleans, Louisiana. She rose to fame in the early 1960s with her hit song "I Know (You Don't Love Me No More)", which was released in 1961. The song was a commercial success, reaching the top of the Billboard R&B chart and the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "I Know (You Don't Love Me No More)" is considered a classic of the early 1960s New Orleans R&B sound.

Despite the success of her debut single, Barbara George was not able to replicate the same level of success with her subsequent releases. She continued to record music and perform, but none of her later songs achieved the same level of popularity as her debut. Barbara George's influence on the R&B genre, particularly in the New Orleans music scene, is still recognized today.
