The Bay City Rollers were a Scottish pop band formed in Edinburgh in 1966. The group's classic lineup consisted of lead singer Les McKeown, guitarists Eric Faulkner and Stuart Wood, bassist Alan Longmuir, and drummer Derek Longmuir. They achieved international success in the 1970s with their catchy pop songs and distinctive tartan outfits, becoming teen idols and sparking a phenomenon known as "Rollermania."
The Bay City Rollers released multiple hit singles, including "Saturday Night," "Bye Bye Baby," and "Shang-a-Lang." They were known for their energetic live performances and loyal fan base. Despite internal conflicts and lineup changes over the years, the band's music continues to be celebrated by fans worldwide, solidifying their place in pop music history.
